EVENT RULES

Rules set by your host clubs -

                     Central Virginia Schutzhund Club, OG Wildhorse & Blitzburg Hundesport Club:

​NO training vest or jacket (ie; gappay or similar attire) may be worn during any phase [Tracking, Obedience, Protection] when competing in a sanctioned USCA event (Page 12 of 88 of the USCA Rulebook).

TRACKING:

​

We will try and offer practice tracking however tracking in the area is limited. If you require practice tracking please contact us and we will try to accomodate you.​

OBEDIENCE AND PROTECTION:

​

Practice training for obedience and protection TBA. Sign Up Genius will be used for practice signup.​

PRACTICE/TRAINING ON REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

​

No handler entered in the trial may train on the Regional Championship field for two weeks prior to the official practice, nor while the event is in progress. The only exception is for bitches in season, who will be permitted practice time immediately after all other dogs in the competition have completed both phases, but before their scheduled performances.

Training aids are allowed at the stadium during the official practice up until the beginning of the trial as defined by handing in the score book at Draw Night.  All rules for the proper use of these aids will be enforced.  Motivational items may be used during the trial until entering the tracking field or “stadium” field.

A competitor and/ or the dog entered in the 2024 USCA Northeastern Regional Championship will be dismissed from the 2024 USCA Northeastern Regional Championship, if the competitor, the owner or handler of a dog entered in the 2024 USCA Northeastern Regional Championship is caught, practicing in the actual stadium field other than the designated practice times and days.

FEMALES IN HEAT:

​

The trial chairman needs to be notified immediately when a female which is entered in the 2024 USCA Northeastern Regional Championship is in heat or becomes in heat during the Regional competition prior to the practice/ training on the Regional Championship field. The handler/-s of those particular female/-s will receive sufficient training times after all other dogs in the competition have completed both phases, but before their scheduled performances. A veterinarian certificate is required.
